9. WestBerlin

If you're heading to Checkpoint Charlie you'll be delighted as I was to find this cafè snuggled away only a few metres away from Checkpoint Charlie itself! Just look at this picture above, imagine chomping away on some organic yogurt, sipping on a fresh latte, maybe even a cheeky cool orange juice on a warm summer morning. Sounds amazing doesn't it? You can find out more about this wonderful gem here.

8. The Barn

If you're into more alternative vibes then The Barn is the place to be! You'll find the minimalistic design of this cafè refreshing. So if you're really feeling the sweats taking over, then indulge in their muesli and a cooling iced coffee. Prices are fairly decent, located in central Berlin (the Mitte) and you find out more about The Barn here.

7. Burgermeister

Sometimes there's nothing better than a big greasy breakfast, and that's exactly what Burgermeister offers you. With all burgers, including veggie friendly options under €5 it also makes it a great place for a cheap eat. Easily accessible by the U-Bahn, you'll find Burgermeister located under Schlesisches U-Bahn station. What makes it a little quirky is that this food stall is actually a converted subway bathroom! Don't worry it has been completely renovated, but it's makes the experience all the more alternative.

6. Wonder Waffel

Most of us can thank the Turkish people for the introduction of kebabs into our lives. But what if there were kebabs... with chocolate and berries? Pretty mind-blowing I know. If you got a sweet tooth then head over to wonder waffel for a delicious twist on the Turkish cuisine. Not in the mood for a chocolate overload? There's plenty of fruit to choose from! You can find all the info on their Yelp page here.

A quaint cafè tucked away in the centre of Mitte. BöseBubenBar is a favourite amongst those of the Bohemian scene. If you're mood for a quiet lunch, accompanied by your book then this is the place for you. They have a small, but good, range of lunchtimes delights such as quiche and great coffee.
