For the 11th year in a row, those in love with jazz, funk, pop and soul music were celebrating together in Paloznak, a cute little town at Lake Balaton.
The multi-day festival's setting could not be any more perfect thanks to its favourable location near the shores of the biggest lake in Central Europe, and in the middle of the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine region famous for its high-quality white wines such as Riesling and Pinot gris.
The festival's main stage is set up on a huge meadow in the town centre allowing the arrangement of the stage and the many wooden stalls offering wine, craft beers and all sorts of yummy food from grilled sausages, to lángos, burgers, dumplings, waffles, ice cream & more in a circular way resulting in a picnic-like atmosphere perfect for enjoying the concerts.
The laid-back ambience is also supported by the mix of crowd counting youngsters, teenargers, adults and pensioners from Hungary and abroad alike.
Besides the main stage there are a couple of smaller podiums in the neighbouring streets which allow the organizers to offer their visitors nearly 50 concerts through Thursday to Saturday. Some of these concerts can be visited free of charge, whereas some others require the purchase of a festival entry which entitles its owners to participate in any of the programs on a given day or throughout the 3 days of the festival.
The line up in 2023 similarly to the previous 10 years was exciting with names such as the Thievery Corporation, Dirty Loops, Nik West or Rich Astley.
Let's have our favourite captions from the event tell us the stories themselves.
